Studio Guidelines

Cleaning:
We understand that some sessions can be messy. This can cause high levels of dust and it is important for health and safety reasons that the studio is kept clean. Workstations and equipment must be left in the same state they were prior to usage. We ask all staff and students to ensure nothing is kept on the floor and to use the designated coat hooks and storage for personal belongings.

Kiln & Equipment use:
Items will not be fired in the Kiln whilst courses or classes run. It is powered by solar to reduce our footprint and will be fired once full. We reserve the right to ask for a Usage Fee for urgent or bespoke orders. Operating the Kiln is only authorised by studio staff. Any damage to the Kiln from students work, inaccurately or irresponsibly applied glazes, the student will be liable for the cost of repair. Although tools and equipment are included and we endeavour to have the necessary equipment at all times, The Pottery Corner is not responsible for any piece of equipment not being available for any reason.

Health & Safety - Fire Regulations:
Students and Visitors must comply with all studio guidelines around health and safety and fire evacuation routes. Posters and information can be found on the left hand side of the stairwell upon entry.

Personal belongings and materials:
We do not accept responsibility for personal belongings left at the studio or any work getting damaged, lost or stolen.
All personal materials, equipment and glazes for use must first be checked by the studio. We take no responsibility for items being successful during the firing within the Kiln. Any work or items must be cleared within 14 days, please ensure to use the storage provided during classes or courses.

Children:
Children under the age of 18 may only use the studio and attend any class if accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18.
